The Wolds and Riverbank Countryside Society
The Wolds and Riverbank Countryside Society is dedicated to the natural and human history of the local area referred to in its name. Our meetings and activities are designed to interest and inform, and to preserve, protect and improve wildlife habitats. During Autumn and Winter months our programme consists mostly of illustrated talks by visiting speakers at the Welton Memorial Hall, and in Spring and Summer mostly of outside meetings. We also own a small woodland reserve in Elloughton, and one of our members is a Country Diary correspondent for The Guardian.
Further information, including the current year’s programme, can be found on our website, www.warcs.org.uk , or gained by calling Tony Clarke on 01482 668064.
